KINGS — Janet D. Fike, 74, lost her courageous battle with cancer Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018 at her home in Kings.
Janet was born on April 26, 1944 to Howard and Floy (Hunt) Musser in Evansville, Ind. She married Steven Fike on April 26, 2006 in Rochelle.
Janet started her career in banking in the early 1980s and worked for over 37 years in the industry with 30 of those years at Stillman Bank in Rochelle. She attended Crossroads Community Church in Rochelle.
Janet is survived by her husband, Steve; son, Steve Burton of Rochelle; two brothers, Scott (Cindy) Musser of Winnebago and Berton (Mary Ann) Musser of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Kay Guzzardo of Holcomb; and special grandson, Travis Burton.
The visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth St., Rochelle. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21 at Crossroads Community Church, 3301 N. IL Route 251, Rochelle, with Pastor Doug Askew officiating. Burial will follow the service at Lindenwood Cemetery in Lindenwood.
Memorials may be made in Janet’s memory to Serenity Hospice and Home or the Humane Society.
