DIXON — Joy K. Schabacker, 65, of Dixon, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Joy was born on June 4, 1952 to Gerald and Frances (Hann) Watson. She married Ben Schabacker.
Joy loved the water, especially boating and living on the river. One of her greatest joys were her dogs. Joy retired from Bay Valley Foods after 20 years.
Joy is survived her husband, Ben; two children, John Davidson and Tammy Davidson; five grandchildren, Micah Davidson, Ashley Moreland, and Devin, Brandon, and Dylan Parker; and a brother, Jim Watson.
In addition to her parents, Joy is preceded in death by a sister, Jerri Erdahl.
Cremation care has been provided by the Unger-Horner Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 6 at Ashton Cemetery.
