ROCHELLE — Kaitlyn S. Palmer, 18, died in Iowa on Oct. 17, 2019.
A 2019 RTHS graduate, she was an avid reader, loved to cook and bake, enjoyed the outdoors and all animals. She will be forever remembered for her quirky sense of humor, uncanny ability to give unique names to everyday objects and especially her infectious smile and laughter.
She is survived by her mother, Jennifer Palmer of Rochelle; father, TJ Palmer of Tennessee; grandparents Sue and Bill Paulin of Rochelle; grandmother Rhonda Palmer of Tennessee; her uncles Brian (Jes) Paulin of Lovettsville, Virginia, Tim (Linda) Paulin of Downers Grove, and Matt (Kim) Paulin of Arvada, Colorado; and many great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
An open house and luncheon celebrating her life will be held Thursday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Hicks Hall of the Rochelle United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Jennifer Palmer to cover funeral expenses.
A GoFundMe account, Celebration of Kaitlyn Palmer’s Life, has been established on Facebook.
