CARBON CLIFF — Larry David Morse, 53, of Carbon Cliff, formerly of Rochelle, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 in Rock Island. Larry was born March 2, 1963 to Larry and Eunice (nee Staelens) Morse.
Larry graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1981. He was employed as a welder for John Deere Works in Davenport, Iowa, for the last 11 years. Larry loved working on cars, attending car shows, and fishing. In his spare time, he enjoyed masonry and even built the fireplace in his home. He most enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He always loved a good joke and poking fun at other people. He will be remembered for his generosity and willingness to lend a hand. 
Larry is survived by his fiancé, Diane “Postal” Cecil of Carbon Cliff; his children, Mitch Waugh of Wisconsin, Tyler (Felisha) Morse of Carbon Cliff, Kalianne (Shawn) McIntire of New Port Richey, Fla., and Seana (Jae) McIntire of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Diane’s children, T.J. (Joy) Chesnut of Vienna, W.V., Roger (Stephanie) Teel of Monmouth, Cassie (Chris) Cecil of Rochelle, Samantha (Ty) Cornmesser of Miramar, Fla., and Andrew Cecil of Rochelle; his parents, Larry and Eunice Morse of Rochelle; his brother, Dennis (Stacy) Morse of Cortland; his sister, Barb (Phil) Meador of Rochelle; 14 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 
Larry is preceded in death by his grandparents and two uncles, Charles Morse and Robert Morse. 
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth Street, in Rochelle. Funeral services and interment will be private.
