ROCHELLE - Mayra F. Gonzalez, 41, of Rochelle, formerly of Mendota, passed away Nov. 28, 2021 at Northwestern Kishwaukee Hospital DeKalb after an extended illness.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mendota with Rev. Peter Pilon officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mayra was born Nov. 1, 1980 in Mexico to Jose and Estela (Aguirre) Lopez. She married Ricardo Gonzalez.
Survivors include her husband of Rochelle; three daughters, Alondra, Eliana and Adrisbet, all of Rochelle; one son, Ricardo Jr. of Rochelle; her parents of Mendota; two brothers, Danny (April) Lopez of Virginia and Julio Lopez of Rockford; two sisters, Jennifer (Jose) Cortez of Aurora and Corrina Lopez of Dallas, Texas; and her maternal grandmother, Ines Aguirre of California.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and her paternal grandparents.
Mayra graduated from Mendota High School.
