ROCHELLE — Patricia Ann Vandre, 87, passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 in Rockford.
Pat was born June 2, 1931 in Detroit, Mich. to Frank and Marguerite (Carlson) Miller. She attended grade school and Denby High School in Detroit and then went on to Wayne State University
In 1950, Pat came to Rochelle and worked for Dr. R.J. Coggeshall and Dr. Charles Masters. On June 4, 1954, she married Dale Vandre at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle. She worked for 26 years as a secretary for St. Paul Lutheran School. Pat was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dale, on June 15, 2005; grandson, Timothy Webb; and her sister, Marilyn (Miller) Gulbrandsen.
Pat is survived by her four children, Susan Duffy of Rochelle, Judith (Richard) Webb of Cambridge, Wis., Joyce (Chris) Wilk of Huntley, and John (Avra) Vandre of Rochelle; five grandchildren, Aaron (Christine) Webb, Cory (Hillary) Thompson, Kelli (Jacob) Abell, Jennifer Vandre and Brittney (Brad Bollman) Vandre; and four great-grandchildren, Zackary, Michael, Michelle and Amanda.
The visitation will be from 9:30 – 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1415 10th Ave., Rochelle. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church with Pastor Gregory Hoffmann officiating. Burial will be at Lawnridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
