AURORA –– Stanley W. Vaupel, 82, of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017 at Jennings Terrace. He was born May 12, 1934 in Rochelle.
Stanley was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired after devoting 30 years of service to Caterpillar as a Final Inspector of the Truck, Dock and Rail Divisions.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Rose M. (Schulz) Vaupel; his daughter, Teresa (Larry) Spears; a granddaughter, Natasha (Jorge) Alanis; two great grandsons, Jorge and Jeon Alanis and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rose (Nerstad) Vaupel.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 at 6 p.m. at The Daleiden Mortuary. Rev. Sandy Jones will officiate. Interment will be private.
Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at The Daleiden Mortuary, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora. (630) 631-5500.
