Thomas “ Tommy” Richard Thompson, age 73 of Lindenwood, passed away on Dec. 11, 2020 at the VA hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Tom was born on Feb. 10, 1947 in Clearwater, Pennsylvania.

LINDENWOOD — Thomas “ Tommy” Richard Thompson, age 73 of Lindenwood, passed away on Dec. 11, 2020 at the VA hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Tom was born on Feb. 10, 1947 in Clearwater, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard I. And Mary F. (Hipps) Thompson, sister Bonita Gail Thompson and baby brother Donald Thompson. Tom was survived by his wife (Margaret) Peggy Thompson, his brother Ronald L. Thompson, his children Samantha (Paul) Reed, Thomas N. Thompson,and Michael Thompson, two step children Andrew and Alexis Sampson, as well as a niece, nephews, and 11 grandchildren.
Tom served with distinction during the Vietnam war from 1968-69, earning two commendation letters. Tom was a master welder and fabricator. He enjoyed inventing and constructing many useful projects with skill, care, and consideration. Family and friends knew Tom as a generous and kind person, a Christian and a good man. A memorial and celebration of life service will be held at a time to be determined.
