ROCHELLE — Wymore G. Wascher, 80, of Rochelle, died Friday, June 11 at Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence, Elk Grove Village. 

Born Sept. 4, 1940, in Wayne, Nebraska the son of Irwin and Anita (Simmons) Wascher, Wymore married Bonita DeBarr on Sept. 3, 1960, at the Lutheran church in Kirkland. 

A graduate of Kirkland High School, he farmed in the Kirkland area for 60 years. He loved traveling, camping, boating and fishing in Canada. 

Wymore is survived by his wife, Bonita; sons, Brian (Vicki) of Kirkland and Brad (Stephanie) of Kings; daughter, Mishelle (Mike) Rubeck of Monroe Center; grandchildren, Breanna, Brendan, Chandler and Austin; brother, Vernon Wascher of Chillicothe, Missouri.; three nephews; a niece and several cousins. 

He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Beverly Strom. 

The family thanks Serenity Hospice and Alexian Brothers Hospice for their loving care. Memorials can be made in Wymore’s name to Serenity Hospice, 1658 Illinois Route 2, Oregon, IL 61061. 

Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 18, at Olson’s Quiram Kirkland Funeral Chapel, 309 S. Fifth St., Kirkland, IL 60146. The Rev. Phil Gronbach, pastor of First Lutheran Church, Kirkland, will officiate. Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Friday. Masks are optional.
