ROCHELLE — Albert James Krieger, 87, of Rochelle, joined his wife in heaven on Friday, April 13, 2018 in Rochelle. Albert was born Jan. 13, 1931 the son of Louis and Agnes (Kopczynski) Krieger in LaSalle.
He proudly served and was a decorated veteran in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1953 during the Korean War earning numerous metals including a Bronze and Silver Star.  He was an accountant for Delmonte until his retirement in 1986.
Albert dedicated his life to his wife and family and was a friendly guy making people smile where ever he went.
Albert married Beverly L. Entwistle March 11, 1950 in Iowa City, Iowa. Beverly preceded him in death April 9, 2011. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Beverly; son, James Krieger; three sisterss Irene Bailey, Alice Damm and Virginia Slimko; one brother, John Krieger.
Albert is survived by his children, Jo Ann (Jim) Bingham of Rochelle, Steve (Liz) Krieger of Conway, Ark., Cheri (Scott) Carlson of Tucson, Ariz., John (Thala) Krieger of Benton, and daughter-in-law, Jan (Don) Medler of Grant, Mich.; grandchildren, Jenny (Jason) Oliver, Donnie Medler, Jackie (Brian) Ramsey, Jeanette (Ryan) Tartaglia, Jimmy (Jamie) Bingham, Tasha (Shane) Kerr, Sheena (Matt) Jones, Tyler Krieger, Cassi (Brooks) Hunter, Artie (Daisy) Haws, Andrew (Tasha Gomez) Haws, Ethan and Evie Krieger; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Jackson, Reed, Hunter, Addison, L.J., Zeagan, Dylan, Grace, Harrison and Benjamin.   
Visitation will be 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18 at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Rochelle.  Funeral mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the Church with Father Ruben Herrera. 
Military honors will be provided by the Eastern Lee-Ogle Honor Guard and the U.S. Army.
