Dear Editor,
Since the revelation that Donald Trump, Jr. met with a Russian attorney claiming connections to the Kremlin, a meeting where he was supposed to receive “dirt” on Hillary Clinton, we have heard a unified message from those who support Mr. Trump. That message is simple, and it is reported often: no crime.
I will repeat the details of that proposed meeting again, details that Donald Trump, Jr. has admitted to: Donald Trump, Jr. met with a person, a person claiming to have direct connections to a hostile foreign government, in hopes that said person would deliver material that would help his father win the election.
The fact that no information was delivered is secondary. What is important is the fact that a person involved in Donald Trump’s presidential campaign willingly agreed to meet with a person claiming to represent a hostile power in hopes of changing the outcome of the election.
