ROCHELLE — Carol S. Mifflin, 72, of Rochelle, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at her home.
Carol was a devoted mother of Kathy Davidson, Karen (Randy) Reints, Sherri (Ed) Roberts and Rob (Dana) Mifflin; proud grandmother to Amber (Wes) Barshinger, Brandon LeRette, Brittany Congleton, Micah Davidson, Breanna (Jeremy) Jones, Aaron Daugherty, Jacob Gomez, Amanda Gomez, Payton Mifflin and Bailey Mifflin; benevolent great-grandmother to Tripp, Crew and Jack Jones, Kendall Manley and Casen Pratt; cherished sister to John (Jonne) Gruben and Deborah (William) Hunley; loving aunt of many nieces and nephews; and dearest friend to many.
Carol was born on June 21, 1947 in Rochelle, the daughter of Ellsworth and Lucille (Templeton) Swick. She married Raymond E. Mifflin in Kings in 1965. She had been employed at Tri County Opportunity Council for 32 years. Earlier in life she enjoyed ceramics, crafts and Bingo as a VFW auxiliary member.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dan (Sylvia) Gruben and Robert (Karen) Gruben; and two sisters, Patricia (James) Hunter, Victoria (Thomas) Stewart.
A Celebration of Life will be held for family at a date and time to be determined.
