According to Rochelle Municipal Airport Director Mike Hudetz, the aircraft had a throttle linkage failure shortly after take off from Koritz Field which caused the engine to go to idle. The pilot made a safe emergency landing on East Gurler Rd. at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday.
