Dear editor,

We are extremely fortunate to be living in this area where we have the excellent healthcare by Rochelle Community Hospital and its staff of medical professionals and we can exercise or engage in sports at the park district's new facility. Both of these facilities are the envy of many communities our size which have lost their local small town hospital and may not even have an exercise/sports facility. I speak from my own experiences having stayed a few days at the hospital going to the emergency room and needing to spend some time at the hospital. My care was top notch.

When I need medical tests run, I have them done locally instead of driving to another county. I love the convenience and how fast they process the results. At the park district, I have the choice of different exercise equipment which are spaced apart and uncrowded. These two facilities are a blessing for our community.
