ROCKFORD — Nancy Regina (Haley) Karceski, 60, of Rockford and formerly of Amboy, passed away on Monday, Nov. 25, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.
She worked as an Insurance Agent for Query Insurance Division of Crum-Halsted for 30 years prior to her retirement.
Nancy was born, March 26, 1959, in Dixon, the daughter of Thomas Morrissey and June (Kent) and John Partington. She married John Karceski on Oct. 7, 2016 in Byron. Nancy enjoyed traveling, shopping, baking; but most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, John; four children, Nathan (Dezarae) Haley of Lee, Shawn (Connie) Haley of Haviland, Ohio, Ryan (Natasha) Haley of Henniker, New Hampshire; and Marissa (Brandon) Svela of Creston; nine grandchildren, Jaden Haley, Demitrus Haley, Sam Haley, Noel Haley, Payton Haley, Noah Haley, Kendall Haley, Olivia Haley and Reagan Haley; two step-sons, Patrick Karceski of Truckee, California, Peter Karceski of Tallahassee, Florida; parents, June and John Partington; one sister, Denise (John) Roop of Minooka; one brother, Tim (Krista) Morrissey of Hartland, Wisconsin; one sister-in-law, Sandy Morrissey of Dixon; and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Morrissey; one brother, Tom Morrissey; and an infant daughter, Melissa Haley.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29 at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, 213 Crawford Ave., Dixon. A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29 at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home with Father Carl Beekman officiating. A private family burial will be at St Patrick Cemetery in Amboy.
