CRESTON — An unidentified pilot made an emergency landing in a cornfield outside of Creston Thursday afternoon.
Law enforcement officials received a report at 1:30 p.m. that an airplane landed in a cornfield in the southwest corner of Creston Road and Mulford Road. The airplane was a 1950 North American T-28A.
Illinois State Police reported the pilot and passenger took off from Tulsa, Oklahoma and were enroute to Wonder Lake, Illinois when they reportedly lost power and made an emergency landing in the cornfield. There were no injuries and no damage to the plane.
