ROCHELLE — The Rochelle School District 231 Board of Education unanimously approved former Superintendent Todd Prusator to become the newest board member of the David Crawford Foundation during the school board’s monthly meeting Tuesday evening.
Prusator will replace Ken Esgar, who served on the foundation board for decades and whose resignation was accepted by the elementary board Tuesday evening. The foundation board was made aware of the changes at its meeting on Nov. 8.
“The Crawford Foundation has been very supportive of the elementary district and I’m looking forward to helping support teachers and students as a member of the foundation,” Prusator said.
The foundation was established in honor of David Crawford, who served as superintendent of the Rochelle elementary school district from 1941-1972. The foundation serves to raise funds through events, such as its annual Pancake Day, to provide resources for students and teachers within the district.
