BATAVIA — The Rochelle Wrestling Club fielded four champions during the Batavia Classic on Sunday, Feb. 16. Nehemiah Andronic, Rowen Villalobos, Zachary Johnson and Tony Milburn all went unbeaten to record first-place finishes in their respective brackets.
Both Andronic (2-0) and Villalobos (2-0) won titles in the Tots Division on Sunday, while Brantley Koenig finished fourth in the Bantam Division. Johnson (2-0) recorded two pins for first place in his Intermediate Division bracket, with Aidan Lopez (2-1) taking third.
Four Rochelle wrestlers battled in the Novice Division including Milburn (3-0), who led all Junior Hubs with three victories in the tournament. Roman Villalobos (2-1) placed second in his bracket, while Boone Alderks and Deegan Schabacker did not place.
Kaiden Morris (2-1) and Xavier Villalobos (2-1) both brought home second-place finishes in the Senior Division on Sunday. Riley Damask (1-1) and Grant Gensler (2-1) each took fifth in their respective brackets.
The RWC will compete in the IKWF Byron Regional on Sunday, March 1. Top-6 finishers in the Intermediate, Novice and Senior Division brackets will advance to participate in the IKWF Rochelle Sectional on Saturday, March 7.
