POLO – The 25th Angel Ball was held recently at Barnacopia in Polo.
This long-running event is a fundraiser for three local charities: Village of Progress, Serenity Hospice and the Rotary Foundation. This year’s event drew a large crowd of 220 attendees.
Dinner was catered by Costa’s Restorante from Byron and live music was provided by Yazz Jazz. The decorations were designed and made by Mary Meiners who has designed the decor for almost 20 Angel Balls. This year’s theme was Silver Bells.
Angel Ball sponsors included Harvard State Bank, E.D. Etnyre Company, KSB Hospital, Smith, Birkholz & O’Brien, Wanda Cacciatore, F.N. Smith Corporation, Oregon Park District, Byron Bank, Stillman Bank, Big John, and ReMax of Rock Valley. Silver Level sponsors included Central Bank of Illinois, Dr. Greg and Julie Reckamp, Father and Sons Ventures, LLC, Oregon Auto Body- Jim and Joan Giblin, Pinecrest Community and Scott and Joyce Stephens.
