A family of four from Aurora had an eventful evening after the plane they were traveling in landed on a road Sunday evening. According to Rochelle Municipal Airport Director Mike Hudetz, the aircraft had a throttle linkage failure shortly after take off from Koritz Field which caused the engine to go to idle. The pilot made a safe emergency landing on East Gurler Rd. at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday. A ground vehicle provided by Chicago Skydiving Center tugged the aircraft back to the airport where it now awaits repairs. (Photo submitted)
