ROCHELLE — The Rochelle community came together in a big way to help those less fortunate during a local radio station’s annual food drive.
The 102.3 Coyote and Good Times Oldies 1060 Thanksgiving food drive netted a total of $8,000 and three tons of food, all going to the Rochelle Christian Food Pantry. On Friday, several volunteers gathered at Anderson Plumbing and Heating to help pack boxes to be distributed on Saturday.
The Rochelle Christian Food Pantry serves residents in the Rochelle High School District.
