CARMEL, Ind. — On April 1, former Ashtonite Jim Greenfield, Ashton High School Class of 1951, was among the veterans on Indy Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.
He was accompanied by his granddaughter, Laura.
Greenfield now resides in Carmel, Ind. There were two plane loads of veterans that flew from Indianapolis that day. Honor Flights were also in Washington, D.C., that day from Ohio and Maine.
It was a wonderful outing for both Laura and Jim who served his country during the Korean War from Jan. 8, 1953 – Dec. 11, 1956, as a member of the United States Air Force.
