Man arrested for battery

On Aug. 23 at approximately 8:48 a.m., deputies investigated a report of a Local 150 Union picketer that had a cup of urine thrown at him while participating in a picket line in the 13000 block of East IL Route 72. After an investigation, Joseph R. Simmons, 24, of Davis Junction, was arrested for Battery and transported to the Ogle County Jail.
On Aug. 23 at approximately 6:04 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 3000 block of North Freeport Road. After further investigation Patricia McGee, 53, of Freeport, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. McGee was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.
On Aug. 23, Jasen Shrader, 36, of Freeport, was arrested for Criminal Trespass to Vehicles. Shrader did post $3,000 (10 percent) for bond and will appear in court on Sept. 11.
Aug. 24
On Aug. 24 at approximately 6:54 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 5000 block of South Lowell Park Road. After further investigation George Monroe II, 45, of Dixon, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Monroe was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

On Aug. 24 at approximately 4:14 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 7000 block of Junction Road. After further investigation Adam Ralev, 22, of Davis Junction, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. Ralev was released at the scene on an I-Bond.
Aug. 25
On Aug. 25 the following were arrested for outstanding Ogle County warrants:
Lavern A. Dearborn, 54, of Sterling, was arrested for Failure to Appear. Dearborn did not post the $3,092 Full Cash Bond and remains in the Ogle County Jail. Dearborn was scheduled to appear in court Aug. 28.
Patrick Smith, 39, of Freeport, for Failure to Appear. Smith did not post the $998 Full Cash Bond and remains in the Ogle County Jail. Smith was scheduled to appear in court Aug. 28.
On Aug. 25 at 6:31 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 9,000 block of Kishwaukee Road for a speeding violation on a blue Ford van. After investigation the driver of the vehicle, Patrick R. Smith, 39, of Dixon, was arrested for Driving While License Revoked and for an Ogle County Warrant for Failure to Appear. Smith was also cited for Speeding. The passenger, Aaron VanSteenvoort, 35, of Freeport, was arrested for Possession of Hypodermic Syringes and Possession of Paraphernalia. VanSteenvoort was also cited for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. Both Smith and VanSteenvoort were taken into custody and transported to the Ogle County Jail where they were held in lieu of bond.
Aug. 26
On Aug. 26 at approximately 11:44 a.m., Ogle County deputies performed a traffic stop at the intersection of Freeport Road and Buffalo Road. After investigation, deputies placed Jason Spencer, 39, of Sterling, under arrest for Driving While License Suspended and a valid Lee County warrant for Contempt of Court. Spencer was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
On Aug. 25 at 7 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at IL Route 64 and I-39. After a short investigation Deputies arested Vasil Bogdon Simon, 42, of Morton Grove, for Driving without a Valid Driver’s License. Simon was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
On Aug. 26 at 1:40 a.m., deputies were called to the 10000 block of IL Route 2 for a vehicle against the guardrail. After a short investigation, deputies arrested Rachel K. Denton, 31, of Mt. Morris, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Denton also received citations for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, Improper Parking, Failure to Notify Secretary of State of Address Change and No Insurance. Denton was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
