On May 25, Jerry Heinze, 46, of Rockford, was arrested for failure to appear. Heinze had a bond of $3,548. Heinze was given a recognizance bond of $1,000. Heinze was released from the Ogle County Jail and has to return to court on June 25.
On May 25 at approximately 5:29 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of South Main St. and First Ave. in Rochelle. After further investigation, Billy Clark, 55, of Rockford, was placed under arrest for driving while license suspended and an outstanding Rockford Police Department warrant. Clark posted bond and was given future court dates in Winnebago and Ogle County courts.
On May 25 at approximately 10:27 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of First Ave. and Caron Rd. in Rochelle. After further investigation, Kayla Martin, 26, of Rochelle, was placed under arrest for driving while license suspended and no valid driver’s license. Martin was released on an I-bond and will appear in ogle County Courts at a later date.
On May 25 8:18 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff deputies along with Rochelle police conducted a traffic stop on a 2017 white Ford F150. After a short investigation, a 14-year-old juvenile from Mendota was placed under arrest for no valid driver’s license. The juvenile was given an I-bond and a return court date.

On May 25 at 11:32 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 grey Chevrolet Impala in the 700 block of west Flagg Rd. Following an investigation, Michael Ellison, 31, of Chana, was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. Ellison was also cited for illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage and no valid insurance. Ellison was transported to the Ogle County jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
May 26
On May 26, the Ogle County Sheriff’s office arrested Jack Whitehead, 63, of Rockford, for driving while license suspended. Whitehead was arrested by deputies in Davis Junction after being stopped for an expired registration. Whitehead was held in lieu of bond at the jail.
On May 26 at approximately 7:53 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 1000 block of North Freeport Rd. on a vehicle for speeding. After further investigation, Jeffery Revels, 54, of Polo, was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance. Revels was also cited for possession of cannabis. Revels was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
May 27
On May 27 at 3:57 p.m., the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Hillcrest Fire Department and Rochelle Fire Department ambulance were dispatched to a two-vehicle injury crash at IL Route 251 and Scott Ave. Investigation by deputies revealed that a northbound Cadillac driven by Torres Carcasses, 48, of Rochelle was attempting to turn left onto Scott Ave. when he turned into the path of a southbound Dodge Caravan driven by Richard McConaghie, 69, of Rochelle. McConaghie and his passenger, Hellen McConaghie, 68, were transported by ambulance to Rochelle Community Hospital with non life threatening injuries. Carcasses was cited for failure to yield.
On May 27 at approximately 10:48 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 9000 block of North IL Route 26. After further investigation, Kencey Purdle, 31, of Rock Falls, was placed under arrest for driving while license suspended. Purdle was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
