OGLE COUNTY — On May 7, Dawan Gordon, 33, of Battle Creek, Michigan was arrested for driving while license suspended after being stopped by deputies for speeding on Interstate 39 near Monroe Center. Gordon was held in lieu of bond.
Christopher Forney, 25, of Forreston was arrested at 12:56 a.m. for driving under the influence of alcohol after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Illinois 72 and Adeline Road. Forney was also cited for speeding, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and an equipment violation.
Forney was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
May 8
Heather Heathcott, 40, of Mt. Morris was arrested at 3 p.m. for no valid driver’s license after deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of West Blackhawk Drive in Byron.
Heathcott was also given a warning for a registration violation and issued a return court date. Heathcott was released on an I-bond.
May 9
Damoria Smith, 23, of DeKalb was arrested for driving while license suspended after being stopped by deputies for speeding on Illinois Route 64 near Woodlawn. Smith was released on an I-bond and will appear in Ogle County court at a later date.
