Dear Editor,
Hello Rochelle. It’s been over 25 years since I “cut the square” in one of those old squad cars, but, don’t think for a minute that I have forgotten the fine people of the “Hub City.”
Since hanging up the badge, I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve the equally fine folks here in Sandwich. In becoming mayor, I realized the need to expand my interests in the happenings of the state and for that matter, the nation.
Your mayor, Chet Olson, has set the bar high for us mayors in bringing Rochelle to the forefront in conversations at and around the state. Chet’s standing with our legislative representatives gives Rochelle a huge advantage over less advertised and respected communities. Further, Chet accomplishes this by his honest and sincere love for your community.
Chet Olson is a full-time mayor in a part-time setting. Full-time in his relentless effort to bring all he can bring to your community.
This coming April 2, you will be asked to exercise your given right to vote. I encourage each one of you to exercise that right, and I can think of no better endorsement for the future of Rochelle than a vote to re-elect Chet Olson.
Rick Olson
Dear Editor,
I have been well-aquainted with Chet Olson for over 20 years. In that time I have come to know him as a man of integrity and honesty.
Chet is a person who can be trusted to do what is in the best interest of the community he represents and not what is best for his self-interest.
He has worked hard for 16 years to do everything in his power to make Rochelle a better place to live and work.
While the mayor position in Rochelle is a part-time job, Chet spend full-time hours as mayor. He spends many hours at senior centers, coffee shops, church services, committee meetings and community events in reaching out to the people he represents.
