Rockford man arrested for driving under influence

On Aug. 17, Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jose Manriquez, 39, of Rockford, for driving while under the influence. Manriquez was arrested by deputies on Stillman Road near Stillman Valley after he was stopped for driving in the wrong lane of traffic. Manriquez was held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.
On Aug. 17, Elizabeth Cardenas, 26, of Loves Park, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Cardenas was given a $1,000 Recognizance Bond and will appear in court on Sept. 24.
On Aug. 19, Benjamin Lemus, 30, of Rochelle, was arrested for an outstanding Ogle County warrant for driving while license expired. Lemus posted the $2,000/10 percent bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail. Lemus will appear in court on Sept. 14.
On Aug. 20 at approximately 12:41 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jonathan Diaz, 30, of Berwyn, for two counts of possession of controlled substance and possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver, all three being felony charges, after a traffic stop in the 4000 block of South IL Route 251. Diaz was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held pending an appearance before a judge. Diaz was also cited for speeding.
