Traffic stop leads to arrest for obstructing an officer

On Feb. 18 at approximately 1:12 a.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Division Ave. and Colden St. After further investigation, Dariyus Westmorland, 22, of Rockford, was placed under arrest for obstructing a peace officer. Westmorland was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. Westmorland was also cited for illegal transportation of alcohol and possession of cannabis.
On Feb. 18, Ogle County deputies conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation that occurred in the 11000 block of E. Flagg Rd. As a result of the stop Cesar Gutierrez, of Rochelle, was arrested for a violation of his bond conditions from a prior arrest. Gutierrez was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he will be held until he can be brought before a judge.
On Feb. 15 at 8:34 p.m. following a traffic stop on I-88 at mile marker 76, Ogle County deputies arrested Jullian L. Wyre, 40, of Chicago, for driving while license revoked and operating a vehicle without insurance. Wyre was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
On Feb. 20, Ramon Woodson, 24, of Belvidere, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear with a $414 full cash bond. Woodson remained in the Ogle County Jail pending a court appearance Feb. 21.
