Rochelle Little League’s 12U Softball All-Stars were on the diamond for the 2024 Illinois Little League State Championship tournament at Scripps Park in Rushville over the weekend. Rochelle went 0-4 over four games after winning the District 19 Championship tournament.

Rochelle Little League’s Junior League Softball All-Stars competed in the Illinois Little League District 19 Championship tournament at the Westwood Sports Complex in Sterling this past week.

The Rochelle Chamber of Commerce recently presented its Lawn of the Week award for the week of June 28 to Dave and Barb Kinn. They received a sign and a $25 Rochelle ACE Hardware gift card, presented by Rochelle Ace Hardware Manager Jesse Lopez.

On June 25 at approximately 1:30 a.m. deputies arrived in the 200 block of Mulberry Lane in rural Dixon regarding a reported domestic battery. After an initial investigation, deputies placed Christopher K. Valdivieso, 32, of Dixon, under arrest for domestic battery. Valdivieso was transported to the Ogle County Jail and was held pending an appearance before a judge.

On June 25 at 11:17 a.m. Charles L. Coss, 75, of Crystal Lake was cited for overweight axle. He was released on a notice to appear with a July 26 Rochelle court date.
