Alan “Bud” E. Albrecht, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021 at his home with his family at his side. He was born on May 22, 1931 in Flagg Township, the son of Earl and Florence (Ackerson) Albrecht.

Alan "Bud" E. Albrecht

ASHTON — Alan “Bud” E. Albrecht, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021 at his home with his family at his side. He was born on May 22, 1931 in Flagg Township, the son of Earl and Florence (Ackerson) Albrecht. 

Bud married Barbara Eckhardt on Dec. 3, 1955, she preceded him on Nov. 1, 2007.  He farmed his whole life.  He served 49 years on the Layfette Township Board and loved spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dennis Albrecht and sister, Betsy Roinas.

Bud is survived by his son, Lane (Sheryl) Albrecht of Jefferson, Wisconsin; daughter, Lynn (Ken) Burch of Lindenwood,; four grandchildren: Alana Bergeson, Renee (Justin) Miller, Marissa Albrecht, and Alan Albrecht; four great grandchildren: Ezekiel, Isaiah, Helen and Bowen; three sisters: Arlene (Al) Thibodeau of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, Carol Parsley of Concord, California, and Audrey (Bob) Onken of Leesburg, Florida; brother-in-law, John Roinas of Rochelle and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle.  Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, with Pastor Dave Rogula officiating at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home. Military services provided by the Eastern Lee-Ogle Honor Guard and the U.S. Army will follow funeral service at Trinity Memory Gardens.
