The Amador medallion award is named after Dr. Luis V. Amador who is known for his work in neuroscience research. The Kiwanis International Research Foundation promotes the elimination of the disease worldwide. The honor is extended to a Kiwanis individual who has demonstrated outstanding service within his or her community. Presenting the Amador award to Swinton is KNRF Chairman Larry Forsberg, Governor’s Assistant from I-I District John Lorenzo, Governor from I-I District Charles Smith, and Kiwanis Neuroscience Research Foundation Executive Director Charles Whitmore.
