ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Fire Department, along with Creston and Flagg Center, responded to an anhydrous ammonia that had tank tipped over Friday afternoon near the bike path and Kyte Creek.
The 1,000 gallon anhydrous ammonia tank tipped west of Walmart and south of Flagg Road. According to reports, no ammonia leaked into the field.
The tank, carrying approximately 800 gallons of anhydrous ammonia, was turned upright by a wrecker truck and placed on a flatbed trailer. It was then taken to Conserv FS in Malta.
The incident took place at approximately 12:30 p.m. Friday. No injuries were reported.
