EAGAN, Minn. — Annette "Nettie" Ann Kary, age, 76, formerly of Rochelle, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 in Eagan, Minnesota.  Annette was born on February 15, 1948 in Mandan, North Dakota, the daughter of Anton and Pauline (Doll) Kary.  Prior to retiring, she worked at Contel/GTE in Rochelle, IL and DeKalb, IL for over 20 years, and then Crest Foods in Ashton, IL for over 10 years until her retirement.  She had moved to Eagan, MN six years ago to be closer to her son, Aaron and daughter-in-law, Heather.

Annette enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going for walks, and doing any activities that were offered at her independent living community in Minnesota.  She was part of the welcoming committee in her community and enjoyed helping new residents get comfortable in their new homes.  She was an avid bingo and dice player at her home in Minnesota and did not miss a game.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two sisters: Onie Kary and Angie (Kary) May.

Annette is survived by her son, Aaron (Heather) Kary of Eagan, MN and her siblings: Bertie (Kary) Bertrams, Ed Kary, and Janet (Kary) Bowers, and many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held for close friends and family at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle with Deacon George Schramm officiating.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 - 10:00 A.M. prior to service.  Burial will follow at the St. Patrick Cemetery in Rochelle.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
