ROCHELLE — Last year, Jim Beardin initiated the establishment of the Kay and Jim Beardin Community Endowment, a tribute to his late wife Kay, and a testament to his deep affection for our community. Through the steadfast support of donors, this fund has flourished, and May 14, Jim once again made a remarkably generous contribution to ensure its continued growth.

Reflecting on his involvement in the recent Granting Futures event put on by the Rochelle Area Community Foundation, Jim remarked, "Witnessing firsthand the profound impact each donor dollar has on the nonprofits serving our community has been truly enlightening. Kay would have been immensely proud to witness the positive outcomes facilitated by this fund. Our aspiration is to perpetuate its growth, ensuring an enduring legacy of benefit for our community."
