ROCHELLE — Beatrice L. Zuercher, 92, of Rochelle, formerly of Creston, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Sept. 15, 1928 in Newberry, Michigan, the daughter of James and Lela (Pickreign) Sanders. She married Franklin E. Zuercher on Dec. 30, 1946 in Rochelle. He preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1999.
Beatrice worked at Caron International for over 30 years before retiring in 1993. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Creston.
Beatrice is survived by one son, William (Terri) Zuercher of Rochelle; six daughters, Juanita Hughes of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nancy (Bert) Entwistle of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Peggy Howe of Rochelle, Penny Zuercher of Rochelle, Tina (Randy) Brantley of Rochelle, and Nadine (Geofrey) Dorwaldt of Rochelle; 25 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
A private family graveside service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 1 at Trinity Memory Gardens with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. The service will be live streamed on the Unger Horner Funeral Home Facebook page.
