CRESTON — Friends, family and coworkers are holding a benefit for Anita Furman on Saturday, Aug. 26 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Davidson Grain, 5931 Woodlawn Rd., in Creston.
Furman has been fighting Spindle Sarcoma cancer for four years. Friends and family say Furman has always been giving and now it is their time to help.
“Anita always has a deep heart of gold and always helps anybody she could,” said long-time friend Laurie Kramer. “I want to help any way I can.”
Furman’s brother-in-law, Todd Furman, said the tickets will cover the cost of the food, the band, and beer.
“We are getting a lot of donations, people are really stepping up,” said Todd. “It’s inside the farm shop at Davidson’s. If we could get all the friends and family…we are gearing up for a big crowd. “Anita is an amazing lady and she’s been through a lot.”
