Senior Devansh Patel fired a team-high 614 series for the Hubs, who fell 3,276-2,862 in the series. Rochelle (2-12, 1-6 Interstate 8) will compete at the Interstate 8 Conference Championship meet in Peru on Tuesday.

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Hub varsity bowling team concluded the regular season with its final home match against Geneseo on Thursday. Senior Devansh Patel fired a team-high 614 series for the Hubs, who fell 3,276-2,862 in the series. Rochelle (2-12, 1-6 Interstate 8) will compete at the Interstate 8 Conference Championship meet in Peru on Tuesday.
Geneseo took the first game 1,022-979 behind 222 from Jacob Hartman and 212 from Matt Krohn. Patel and senior Max Orlikowski each rolled 186 to lead the Hubs in the first game, while senior Sergio Guevara followed with 170 and freshman Logan Frye added 169.
The Maple Leafs surged ahead in the second game, winning 1,160-931 with Gabe Durnell shooting 235. Patel anchored the Hubs with 204 in the second game before closing out the match with 224 in the third game, which Geneseo claimed 1,094-952. Guevara fired 185 in the third game for a 524 series, while Durnell scored 199 to record a 604 series for Geneseo.
