ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Hub varsity bowling teams hosted a nonconference match against Dixon on Monday. Senior Devansh Patel rolled a 526 series to lead the Hubs over the Dukes by a score of 2,623-2,574.
The Hubs improved to 2-7 overall with the win. Rochelle edged Dixon in the first game, winning 876-870 behind 200 from Patel. Oliver Haverland led the Dukes with 192 in the first game, while Cody Gehl followed with 190.
The Hubs extended their series lead with a 900-836 victory in the second game. Sophomore Christian Thorne fired 180 to lead Rochelle, with Patel adding 159 and senior Luke Orlikowski adding 157. Dixon won the third game 868-847, with Gehl shooting 205 for a 577 series.
