BELVIDERE — The Rochelle Hub varsity soccer team faced Belvidere in a nonconference road match on Saturday morning. Rochelle conceded a goal in the first half and was unable to rally from the deficit, allowing two second-half goals in a 3-0 loss to the Bucs. Junior goalkeeper Antonio Hueramo finished with five saves for the Hubs (8-8-1, 3-2 Interstate 8) on Saturday.

Belvidere took a 1-0 lead after scoring the first goal of the match during the 22nd minute. Leading 1-0 entering the second half, Belvidere extended its advantage with unanswered goals during the 57th and 79th minutes. The Bucs outshot Rochelle 15-10 and held a 14-3 advantage in shots on goal. Junior forward Antonio Ruiz landed three shots on goal for the Hub offense.
