The Rochelle Hub track and field team went head-to-head with Sandwich on Tuesday, falling 110-59 and moving to 2-5 on the season. Junior Michael Ramsey and sophomore Christian Harding recorded event victories for the Hubs, winning the 100-meter dash and the 400-meter dash in 12.56 seconds and 58.70 seconds, respectively.

SANDWICH — The Rochelle Hub track and field team went head-to-head with Sandwich on Tuesday, falling 110-59 and moving to 2-5 on the season. Junior Michael Ramsey and sophomore Christian Harding recorded event victories for the Hubs, winning the 100-meter dash and the 400-meter dash in 12.56 seconds and 58.70 seconds, respectively.
Junior Zach Sanford brought home the shot put victory, winning with a mark of 13.26 meters while senior Oscar Aguirre took third. Aguirre finished second in the discus with a throw of 32.05 meters. Junior Luke Orlikowski took home the triple jump win with a distance of 10.43 meters and junior Ryan Simmons placed second in the high jump with a height of 1.73 meters.
Freshmen Abel Huerta and Luis Pizano went first and second in the 3200-meter run unopposed, finishing with times of 13:03.78 and 13:16.64. Rochelle won the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:43.49 and the Hubs placed second in the 3200-meter relay with a time of 10:39.96.
