ROCHELLE — CHS Rochelle was able to donate $5,000 recently to the Rochelle Child Care Center from its Community Stewardship Funds. Giving back to the community by educating youth and keeping them safe are both core values of CHS.
This also creates a stronger and meaningful connection between employees and the communities where they live and do business. The donation to the Rochelle Child Care Center will be used to purchase classroom safety supplies such as first aid bags and intruder safety locks, educational materials, learning tools and technology updates.
Besides the donation to the RCCC, the remaining FY19 Community Stewardship Funds were distributed to the following local organizations honoring CHS’s focus on safety and support of veterans:
The Rochelle Veterans War Memorial Association received $5,900 to go toward a bronze kneeling soldier statue which is being created and will be placed at the War Memorial at the Lawnridge Cemetery.
