DIXON – Clover Izetta Franzen, 91, of Dixon, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Aug. 2, surrounded by her loving family.

Clover was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of William and Alicia Izetta (Minton) Baxter. She graduated from high school in Malta and married Charles Kenneth Franzen (now deceased) at her mother's home in Creston in 1948. Together they had five children and ran a farm of corn, soybeans and cattle while raising their children.

Through the years, Clover worked very hard to help support her large family. Being a mother was her most cherished role in life. She was a deeply caring mother and devoted to her children. Family was everything to her.
Clover was a great decorator, fantastic cook and wonderful hostess. She had many close and dear friends whom she loved very much. We will all miss her quick wit and wonderful meals.

She is survived by her five children, Gary (Pamela) Franzen, Diane Franzen, Alicia Izetta (John "Jay") Carroll, Steven Franzen and Laura (Alan Matsumura) Erickson; nine grandchildren, Elise (Ryan) Nolan, Christopher Brent (Candis Lai) Seberhagen, Kristin (David) Arndt, Bradley (Nelly) Seberhagen, Erik Franzen, Tyler Franzen, Mackenzie (Dustin Berk) Franzen, Connor (Lauren Mohan) Erickson and Logan (Alex Ochoa) Erickson; 10 great-grandchildren, Gavin Nolan, Jordon Nolan, Joshua Nolan, William Nolan, Sophia Izetta Seberhagen, Violet Roxanna Seberhagen, Brooke Izetta Arndt, Ava Sutton, Alejandro Ochoa and Elena Ochoa.

Clover was preceded in death by her parents.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25 at Grace United Methodist Church, 921 E. Chamberlin St., Dixon, IL 61021, with Rev. Rosa Lee, officiating. Per Clover's request, please wear colorful summer attire. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Grace United Methodist Church, 921 E. Chamberlin St., Dixon, IL 61021.

Clover's children want to express their sincere gratitude to their sister, Diane, for her wonderful care and companionship to their mother prior to her passing.

Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
