ROCHELLE — Connie Lee Richmond, 84, passed away on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 at Amita Health Adventist Medical Center in Bolingbrook.
Connie was born on April 10, 1936 to James and Violet (Holloway) Gilbert in Rochelle. She graduated from Rochelle Township High School. She married Larry E. Richmond on Oct. 5, 1957 in Rochelle. She worked for Rochelle Community Hospital in the OB department for approximately 30 years.
Connie is survived by her two children, Todd Richmond, of Rochelle, and Cathy (Tom) Sampson of Palmetto, Florida; brother Don (Joyce) Gilbert of Kingwood, Texas; and two grandchildren, Zachary Richmond of Rochelle, and Justin Richmond of Rochelle.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; son, Kevin Richmond; and sister, Helen (Gilbert) Lee.
A private family service will be held at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle. Burial will be held at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
