CRESTON — Creston trustees approved the 2015 building code ordinances, bringing the village up to date with more than 30 communities in Ogle County and neighboring counties. The move to adopt the 2015 building code is meant to bring consistency throughout the area as well as clarify the practices in the International Building Codes.
Trustees approved a funds transfer of nearly $32,000 from the landfill account to the general account for street repairs already completed in the village. President
Tom Byro explained the transfer needed to be done for auditing purposes.
