Daniel M. Mitchell, 60, of Ripon, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 9 at home with his loving family by his side.

RIPON, Wisc. – Daniel M. Mitchell, 60, of Ripon, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 9 at home with his loving family by his side.

Daniel was born on May 29, 1961 in Berwyn, Illinois, the son of Harold and Ardis (Pierstorff) Mitchell. He graduated from Rochelle Township High School in Rochelle and went on to attend Kishwaukee Community College.

In 2001, Daniel married Barbara Meisenheimer in Green Lake, Wisconsin, and has been a U.S. Postal Mail Carrier for 31 years. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers and a faithful member of the First Congregational Church in Ripon.

Daniel is survived by his mother, Ardis Mitchell of Ripon; his wife, Barbara Mitchell of Ripon; three children, Joshua (Tirza) Mitchell of Rolling Meadows, Illinois, Lindsay (Brad McMurtry) Mitchell of Sycamore and Garrett Mitchell of Ripon; grandchildren, Brock, Mia, Avelina, Aria and Emery; two sisters, Susan (Dave) Conant of Ripon and Bette Cooper of Denmark; sister-in-law, Teri Mitchell; a niece, Sara Mitchell; nephew, Matt (Josie) Mitchell and several canine friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Mitchell; a sister, Linda Mitchell and a brother, Scott Mitchell.

A private graveside service for Daniel will be held at the Farley Center Natural Path Sanctuary in Verona, Wisconsin. A memorial service for Daniel will be held at a later date at the First Congregational Church in Ripon.
