ROCHELLE — Cheers erupted at T-Byrd Lanes on Thursday night when local league bowler Katie Dummer notched her first ever 300 game on lanes 1 and 2 during Thursday Night Classic League action. Dummer, who was a Rochelle Township High School standout and later bowled at the community college level, shot her perfect game with the only ball she had available.
“It’s funny because all of my other balls are in the shop right now being refitted and this Roto Grip Hyper Skill Cell is the only one I have to use,” she commented. “I had this one refitted a week ago, but I haven’t been using it much until now.” Dummer, who has been on a hot streak of late, recently shot a 753 series and will be bowling in a doubles tournament later this month in Carpentersville. “Hopefully, I can carry this momentum into that event,” she laughed.
