LASALLE — The Rochelle Hub fresh-soph football team battled LaSalle-Peru on the road Monday evening, falling 12-6 in overtime to move to 1-1 on the season. Rochelle will face Kaneland on the road Monday, April 5 at 5 p.m.
Sophomore Trey Taft led the charge on offense, running for 93 yards and Rochelle’s lone touchdown of the game. Sophomore Cody Stover-Cullum added 78 rushing yards and seven tackles on defense.
Sophomore Kyce Jaradat compiled nine tackles on defense, while sophomore Aidan Darby and freshman Ivan Cortez each added one sack for the Hubs in the loss.
