ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Hub fresh-soph football team kicked off its 2024 season with a 14-6 win over Woodstock on Friday evening. Sophomore Tyler Gensler rushed for a 2-yard touchdown and recorded eight tackles on defense, while freshman Luke Chadwick also rushed for a 2-yard touchdown in the victory against the Blue Streaks.
Sophomore Angel Hernandez totaled five tackles, including two tackles for loss, to aid the Rochelle defense in the win. Freshman Andrew Eyster finished with six tackles for the Hubs (1-0, 0-0 Interstate 8), who will face Morton on the road this coming Friday evening.
