MADISON, Wis. — Frank Rollan Ross Bonneau, 33, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, at his home. He was born on Nov. 5, 1987, to Lynn Bonneau in Madison, Wisconsin.
Frank attended Lakeview Elementary, Blackhawk Middle and Madison East High Schools. Frank began his college career at MATC where he received an associate degree in applied science. He worked his way through college as a cook, server and bartender at several Madison area restaurants.
Frank transferred to UW Madison and earned a bachelor's degree in anthropology. During that time, he made a journey to Swartkrans Cave just outside of Botswana, South Africa where he earned his archeology certificate. This was one of Frank's proudest achievements.
Frank decided to return to school and got an associate’s degree from Madison College as a medical laboratory technician. During that time, he worked for Interstate Plasma as a phlebotomist. After graduation, Frank took a job with Newcomer Supply in Middleton as a medical laboratory technician.
Frank was a devout student of Shaolin Kung Fu. He studied this art at Zhong Yi Kung Fu Association in Madison. For almost 10 years, he studied traveling to different competitions in the United States. He had just received his Black Sash, the highest level of study. We would like to thank Shifu Nelson Ferreira and Frank's family at ZYKFA. You are forever in our thoughts and prayers.
Frank is survived by his mother, Lynn Bonneau, Madison; grandmother, Marilyn Bonneau, Rochelle; aunts, Pat (Bill) McCoy, Belvidere; Jean (Steve) Butz, Rochelle; uncles, Jim (Dan Feisst) Bonneau, Madison; cousins, Brett (Cori) McCoy, Belvidere, IL; Charlie Butz, Rochelle, IL; Laura (Brandon) Shaw, Creston, IL; Tracy (Jamey) Young, Mt. Morris; second cousins, Taylor and Cheyenne McCoy, Belvidere, and Madison and Brady Jesefowicz, Mt. Morris.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rollan Bonneau.
Frank was loved and admired by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 14, from 1-3 p.m. at The Harmony Bar and Grill located at 2201 Atwood Ave in Madison.
