MORRIS — Juniors Josie Lundquist and Megan Thompson teamed up for a decisive victory at No. 3 doubles when the Lady Hub tennis team faced Morris on the road Tuesday. Lundquist and Thompson took down Olivia Moore and Darcy Ancel in straight sets, winning 6-3, 7-5.
The Redskins defeated Rochelle 4-1 in the meet to drop the Lady Hubs to 2-9 overall and 0-4 in the Interstate 8 Conference. Kayla Walker bested Lady Hub senior Anna Guevara 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, while Libby Wright defeated Rochelle junior Emma Hicks 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
Senior Sawyer McGee and junior Sylvia Hasz went three sets with Tessa Bremmel and Liz Kenney during the No. 2 doubles match, falling 3-6, 6-3, 4-6. Juniors Jordin Dickey and MeLisa Young fell in straight sets (0-6, 3-6) to Grace Lines and Kyla Kjellesvik at No. 1 doubles.
